"Thank you so much Sally and Jim for your hospitality during our stay. We rented the Lavender apartment for a week during the last week of July. The apartment was huge with the most gorgeous sea views and was spotlessly clean. Sally and Jim were wonderful hosts who have an extensive knowledge of the local area and are on hand to help out with any queries but are not intrusive. The position of the apartments made travelling to local attractions quick and easy. There is even a bus stop at the end of the drive if you fancy leaving the car at home. The property is surrounded with the most beautiful landscape gardens with views to the sea. Seating has been provided to enjoy the views to the max. I cant say enough good things about our stay. I highly recommend going to see Sally and Jim and finding out for yourself!"

"We have just got back from a lovely stay at Bowden House. We had a warm welcome from Sally and was shown to our apartment and left to settle in. The accommodation was very clean, warm and well stocked for our arrival. The grounds of the house are beautiful with stunning views. Our dog was made just as welcome as we were. Would definitely recommend and we will be staying again"

"Bowden House, beautifully situated high above the sea at Maidencombe, has been cleverly divided into several apartments. Poppy Apartment is fully equipped and comfortably furnished with a spectacular view of the sea. It is easy to find on the road from Teignmouth to Torquay. Buses pass the door. Our welcome was warm, our stay was comfortable and we enjoyed good food in restaurants within a short drive and some of the many tourist attractions and much lovely scenery in the neighbourhood."

We stayed in the Chestnut apartment and really appreciated the newness and comfort of the décor. It was a warm summer evening and we had our supper out on the terrace while the sun set. Idyllic!"
"Bowden house looked great online, but you really have to experience it first hand to appreciate it. The setting is beautiful and after an overnight flight from the USA and the scenic drive from Heathrow, the tranquillity and views were just what was needed to unwind. Accommodation was extremely spacious and comfortable which allowed us to relax with plenty of freedom and privacy. Although we did not self cater ( too many restaurants nearby) it would have been very easy to do so with a well equipped kitchen. The nearby Thatched Tavern is perfect to stretch the legs , visit the beautiful cove and enjoy some great beer and food. Nearby there is plenty to explore - Torquay, Brixham, Dartmouth to name a few . Sally was extraordinary helpful and very quick to respond - would not hesitate to Recommend ".
